Dear Parents of the STAR Spanish Academy,

Thank you for your support during the launching session of the STAR Spanish Academy!  During this first session, the students learned simple conversation skills relating to themselves, their peers, their families, homes, and school.  They also learned vocabulary focusing on these themes.

We are sending some of their work and a scrapbooking kit for a Winter Vacation Project.  This activity will help students review their vocabulary and conversation dialogues.  Have fun putting together the scrapbook, which should include their class work, as well as their drawings, pictures, and anything else you think would be fun!

In January, we will ask the students to bring their finished scrapbooks to school.  Students will receive a reward for bringing their scrapbooks to share with their classmates!

Classes will resume on January 8, 2008!  On that day, you will receive a list of the lesson plans for the next 10 weeks.
